“And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.” Jeremiah 29:13

Back in 2012, I wrote a blog post titled “What Time Is It?” and here is what I wrote:

For me, it is a time to search…to search the scriptures about “end time events,” about Jesus’ Second Coming, about deeper intimacy with God, recognizing and routing out unbelief that keeps me from growing in faith and in my relationship with Him. Maybe it is the craziness, world conflicts, and the “unraveling” of our present world that pushes me to search. Maybe it is the awareness that, although my spirit seems to grow stronger, my body isn’t keeping up. Maybe God is preparing me for that day when I will “step across the threshold.” Then the complete revelation of His Love will be revealed which my finite mind yearns for but cannot yet fully grasp.

Twelve years later and I am still searching, but Jesus’ Coming is getting closer, even if it doesn’t feel like it. In a recent video message, a pastor mentioned the doubters, those that say “Nothing has happened in the last 2000 years, why should we believe anything will happen in the future?” (my paraphrase) The problem isn’t that Jesus is slow in returning. Rather, we have not had the heart and eyes to see all that the Lord has done and is doing in our lives. Sadly, we often focus only on the negative aspects of life.

Lord, help us shed the weight of anything that hinders our relationship with You. May we search for You with all of our hearts until we know the fullness of your love!
